Chapter 4: ML100 Vs Clair
Once Striker rejoined the others (including Brock, Lillie, Timmy, Ash etc.), the announcer said that there was going to be a short intermission before the next battle began.
“Great job Striker! Saria congratulated
“You’re up next right ML100? Who are you battling?” Devon asks curiously
“I'm up against Clair.” ML100 answers
“Clair huh? Well, that's certainly not going to be an easy battle to win.” Striker replies recalling his gym battle with Clair.
“More than likely she'll have an answer for Vee, as she already has an idea of what he's capable of thanks to our battle back in Johto.” ML100 says.
“Is this Clair person a really good trainer?” Sylveon asks Vee while the trainers continue to talk with each other
“From what I remember, yes, to be honest, I think one of the reasons we won against her last time was thanks to me evolving into an Espeon mid-battle.” Vee admits with a nod, remembering how tough it was to defeat Clair's last Pokemon.
“Well, good luck Vee, I'll be rooting for you!” Sylveon tells the Espeon
“Thanks Sylveon.” Vee thanks with a smile. The Espeon then follows his partner so that they could prepare. When the intermission was over the battle began, with the announcer introducing both trainers, hyping up the crowd in the process.
“In the blue corner, its the Cursed Hero of Time, MajoraLink100!” the announcer introduces ML100 as he walks to his side of the battlefield.
“Cursed Hero of Time? What does he mean by that?” Timothy asks in thought as he and the others watched.
“In the red corner, its Johto’s Dragon Type Gym Leader, and cousin to Lance, the Dragon Master, its the Blackthorn City Gym Leader, Clair!” the announcer introduces Clair as she walks to her side of the battlefield. “The rules remain the same, each trainer will use three Pokemon, and with that said, the battle can begin!” the announcer exclaimed as the crowd cheered for the trainer they wanted to win.
“Alright Vee, I choose you!” ML100 leads with Vee, who runs into the battlefield.
“ML100 leads with Espeon, the Psychic Type evolution of Eevee!” the announcer exclaims
“I choose you, Hydreigon!” Clair exclaims, sending out her first Pokemon
“Oh, it looks like Clair is leading with Hydreigon, this Pokemon is a Dark and Dragon Type Pokemon.” the announcer informs everyone, “These are two entirely different types of Pokemon, Espeon has no choice but to be switched out with a different Pokemon due to it being weak to Dark Types like Hydreigon!” the announcer informs everyone, making Saria smirk as she heard the announcer, “This announcer clearly doesn't know Vee very well, in fact, Dark Types like Hydreigon should be the ones wanting to switch with another Pokemon.” Saria says
“Huh, why’s that?” Ash asks
“Vee knows how to use Dazzling Gleam, which thanks to Hydreigon being both a Dark and Dragon Type, is gonna hurt.” Striker answers.
“Hydreigon, use Dark Pulse!” Clair commands, her Pokemon using the move, firing it at Vee.
“And Hydreigon unleashes a powerful Dark Pulse, I predict this easily taking out Espeon in one hit if it connects!” the announcer exclaimed
“Vee, use Dazzling Gleam, let's go!” ML100 commands and Vee uses the move, firing a bright, sparkling from its body at the opponent, overpowering the Dark Pulse, and landing a direct hit on Hydreigon.
“Whoa, what amazing power! It looks like the Type disadvantage doesn't matter at all!” the announcer exclaimed, shocked at what just happened.
“Whoa, Hydreigon had to have taken a lot of damage from that Dazzling Gleam!” Brock exclaims.
“... Hmm, maybe that Espeon is worth my time after all.” Paul says in thought as he watches the battle.
“Hydreigon, are you alright?” Clair asks, panicking as Hydreigon looked like it was barely hanging on.
“Oh my, what incredible power, that Espeon was certainly raised well.” Peach says in awe
“Makes me glad that they're on OUR side!” Toadsworth replies as the battle wages on.
“Hydreigon, use Dragon Pulse!” Clair commands, with her Hydreigon firing the move at Vee
“Stop it with Dazzling Gleam!” ML100 commands, with Vee using Dazzling Gleam, destroying the Dragon Pulse, covering the battlefield in smoke. With Vee frantically looking for Hydreigon. “Vee, calm down and don't rely on your eyes, try to predict where Hydreigon is by reading air currents!” ML100 tells his Espeon, who then calms down, closes his eyes and tries to find where Hydreigon is moving, his forked tail quivering as he did this.
“Hydreigon, use Draco Meteor!” Clair commands as Vee’s gem starts to glow as the Draco Meteor started to rain down on to the battlefield field
“Dodge it!” ML100 commands as the Draco Meteor crashed down all over the battlefield, exploding upon impact.
“Whoa, Clair has Hydreigon’s Draco Meteor rain all over the battlefield, is Espeon going to be okay, or is it going to faint?” the announcer excitedly asks, as the Draco Meteor came to an end, and the smoke cleared, revealing Vee, with his gem glowing, completely unharmed, much to Clair's surprise, as the crowd roared in excitement.
“B-but how?!” Clair gawked
“Simple, Vee was able to dodge all of that thanks to reading air currents, being able predicting far enough into the future with his psychic abilities so that he knew where to always move ahead of time, and, most of all, thanks to his speed!” ML100 tells Clair, “So, in short, Vee’s usually able to be three steps ahead of you.” he adds.
“Why you little!” Clair fumes, she wasn't very fond at losing.
“Hydreigon, Dark Pulse!” a frustrated Clair commands her Pokemon, which Vee dodges and makes Hydreigon faint with Dazzling Gleam.
“Impressive, Vee’s certainly gotten faster since the last time I battled him.” Striker says, “Looks like we'll have to bring our A game for the finals if we're going up against ML100, eh buddy?” Striker adds, talking to his Pikachu.
“Now that Hydreigon has fainted, Clair only has two Pokemon left, she can still turn this battle around!” the announcer exclaimed, as Clair sent out her Salamence, which appears with a ferocious roar, making Pibu jump. “Clair sends out Salamence, a powerful Dragon and Flying Type Pokemon, this Pokemon is known as a ‘Pseudo Legendary’, and is not a Pokemon to be taken lightly! Could this Pokemon change the flow of battle, and let Clair make a comeback?” the announcer says
“Vee, come back and rest.” ML100 recalls Vee, “Blastoise, I choose you!”
“Alright Salamence, let our hearts become one, MEGA EVOLVE!!!” Clair shouts as Salamence Mega Evolves into Mega Salamence, letting out a ferocious roar as it finished Mega Evolving.
“Well, in that case… Blastoise, let's show her our full power, AGEM AKNIHS!!!” ML100 shouts in Kokiri, as Blastoise Mega Evolved into Mega Blastoise.
“Salamence, use Outrage!”
“Blastoise, use Ice Beam! ML100 and Clair command at the same time, with both moves hitting their target, dealing massive amounts of damage to both Pokemon
“Whoa, it's a head on collision, power versus power!” the announcer exclaimed over the roar of the crowd.
“Finish off Salamence with another Ice Beam, let's go!” ML100 commands, with Ice Beam being fired at Clair’s Mega Salamence, which had just used Outrage again, with Outrage overpowering Ice Beam and hitting Blastoise. “No Blastoise!” ML100 calls out, “That Mega Salamence is strong, that's for sure, I don't think Blastoise can take another Outrage.” he thought as Salamence once again used Outrage, which Blastoise dodges as Salamence is confused. “Now is our chance!” ML100 thought having Blastoise use Ice Beam, but Salamence dodges and snaps out of its confusion.
“Salamence, use Dragon Pulse!” Clair commands, making Blastoise faint, evening the score.
“Vee, I think you might be the only one left able to take out Salamence.” ML100 says, and Vee re-enters the battlefield, letting out a cry. “Alright then, Vee, use Dazzling Gleam!” the hero commands, making Mega Salamence faint, causing Clair to send out her Kingdra.
“Kingdra, use Hydro Pump Clair commands, getting desperate for a win.
“Vee, dodge it, and use, Psyshock!” ML100 commands, with Vee easily avoiding Hydro Pump, and landing a powerful Psyshock.
“Kingdra, use, Dragon Breath!”
“Use Dazzling Gleam!” ML100 and Clair command at the same time, with Dazzling Gleam overpowering Dragon Breath and making Kingdra faint.
